Sometimes pianos with no value and with no place to go end up in "piano heaven."  Although affectionately named, this is simply the local landfill.  We are highly opposed to using this option and use every opportunity to provide alternatives to disposing of pianos and only use the landfill as a last resort.  The process of completely disassembling a piano is very costly due to the amount of time involved to remove all the strings and other parts, including the cast-iron plate.  We do our best to recycle & re-use piano parts and spend numerous hours each year keeping pianos out of the dump.  Call us to discuss piano disposal options.
